You can be prepared by having some documents ready to scan, fax, or drop off to us: 2 years of tax returns (and copy of extension if necessary), 2 most recent paystubs for all borrowers, 3 months bank statements for all borrowers and all accounts you wish to use, copy of all ID’s, social security cards, military IDS’s, letters of explanation for gaps in work history, information about your current mortgage (balance, payment, interest rate), other properties that you own, other mortgages that you have, and your first born child.
